2004年Club StrawberryにてStartした"Da Funk Mode"を前身に、2004年9月Count Bass DをGuestに迎えたVol.0を開催。翌年よりROOTDOWNとして本格始動。

コレまでにPrest,Large Proffesor,Lord Finesse,Kool DJ Red Alertなどの海外DJ/MCや、国内からもGagle,Lunch Time Speax,DJ Mistu The Beats,DJ Kiyo,Kashi Da Handsome,Ryuhei The Manなど、幅広い層からGuestを迎え、関西だけではなく全国区で知名度を得る。

2007年からはホームグラウンドであったClub Azureを離れ、毎回迎えるGuestに合わせて会場を変え、Musicだけでなくトータルコンセプトを提示する新たなROOTDOWNを展開する。
