Root Down 2011 MONTHLY MIX SERIES

なんとRoy Ayersのドキュメンタリーを制作しているというRoy Ayers Projectが、Roy Ayersをネタにしたビート集がFREE DOWNLOADで公開！

その活動の一環として世界中から一般公募してきたのが、ロイ・エアーズ作品を使ったサンプリング音源だ。デトロイトのK・ドット(K-Dot)やピッツバーグのバスクレイツ(Buscrates)から、イギリスのビーツスピークス(BeatzSpeakz)、フランスのJ&Dまで、アメリカを中心とした18組のビートメイカーたちが楽曲を提供しており、既に4月から応募作品が順次公開されてきた。今回、同プロジェクトはその作品をまとめて“Beat Submissions Compilation, Vol. 1”として25曲をコンパイル、オフィシャル・サイト RoyAyersProject.com で無料公開された。提供されているzipファイルの中には、今回参加した各ビートメイカーの連絡先まで記されており、次代を担う彼らを後押ししている。
